My opinion:

A Climate for Change is a breath of fresh air for Christians who are wondering about the whole global warming hype. I am one of those who questioned the global warming controversy but with sound and logical information Hayhoe and Farley definitely drive home what is happening to our world today. Global warming is indeed happening and by not listening to politician and celebrities, the authors make the situation clear and why the climate is changing and how it's becoming visible - especially in poorer countries.

I recieved an ARC, which is a book in it's unfinished form, and in the finished book there will be graphics that will help drive the points in the book home even further. Even without the graphics and charts this book was a wonderful resource for myself as I tried to overcome my perceptions what I thought was purely a political scam. That being said, I don't agree with everything the authors write, one such item being the fact that having large families is bad. As Christians I believe God tells us we are to accept and recieve His blessings - and children are blessings. I also realize that we can raise our children to take care of the planet as we have been entrusted by God to care for His creation.

Overall, a wonderful resource for Christians who wonder if global warming is happening and what we can do about it if it is. The authors give some very simple and easy to actions that can help in repairing our planet - such as changing the light bulbs, recycling, turning off computers at night and many others. Yes, these little things can help (more so than buying those carbon credit things, but the authors do seem to agree with that idea even if I don't) and the authors will tell you how. I do think this is a must read - for both those who already believe in global warming and those who are skeptics.
